This time, I chose a nude color palette for my short nails, accented with a delicate white and purple daisy design. 

My nail technician, Grace, she applied three layers of ombre nude shades skilfully, creating a beautiful gradient effect. 

The daisy was meticulously crafted using cement-type gel, enhanced with water droplets for a stunning 3D effect.

The cement-type gel manicure didn't last long for me though. The hollow inside creates a hole when the design damaged.

My younger brother had a craving for Dunkin's signature donut, also the Simpson favorite - strawberry frosted. 

Mr Hubby suggested we getting 6 donuts instead for dinner so we could try other flavors as well. (Best part about adulting)

To celebrate Hari Raya, they've released several new donuts (since last year), the 'ketupat' donut, which caught my attention. 

It's a square donut frosted with green chocolate and drizzled with yellow banana and filled with salted corn jam, a delicious blend of sweet and savory. 

As for my brother's favorite, the strawberry frosted donut, it's a delightful fusion of a classic fried donut topped with strawberry glaze and strawberry jimmies.

🍩 DONUT worry, be happy 😊 

I returned to this Korean restaurant with Mr Hubby for late lunch date after six months and ordered my favorite lunch set - marinated spiced pork with rice set. 

However, I noticed there were some changes. The soup of the day is now soybean paste soup with diced soft bean curd, which is quite salty for me. 

Additionally, the marinated pork appears redder and spicier (prolly freshly marinated) than it was when I last had it a few times ago. 

I suggested Mr Hubby to get the Korean kimchi fried rice set. He said it's spicier than regular kimchi he had before but I found it tasty though.

🥬 Korean Kimchi Fried Rice Set 🌶

Most of the Japanese restaurants were full, thus I recommended Ramen Kumo to Mr Hubby for dinner after shopping. 

Customer have the option of choosing either thin white noodles or thick yellow noodles, and we decided to try both.

We ordered...

Both served with 4 pieces of their marinated chashu, sliced black fungus, chopped spring onions and naruto. 

They gave a spoon of their housemade hot red spice to mix with the pork broth therefore it'll become red soup. 

The pork bone broth was creamy white, rich, and packed with umami flavour. Needless to say, it was delicious. 

Even though the chashu was thinly sliced, however it was incredibly tender, and I enjoyed the fat melted in mouth. 

The noodles resembled our local Tuaran noodle. Both of us enjoyed the thick type because we prefer the chewy texture.

🍜 My Favourite Men is Ra-Men 🍥

I noticed this coffee shop was highlighted on one of a foodie page on Facebook, with their laksa and handmade chicken balls receiving high praise. 

It intrigued me, therefore I decided to visit for brunch last weekend, and it was bustling with customers during lunch hour eager for their laksa and dry mix noodle. 

We ordered...

Both of us found it didn't quite meet our expectations. The tomyam was excessively spicy, while the laksa, although creamy, was just average. 

On a positive note, the prawns were fresh and deveined, also the deep-fried fish stood out for its light, crispy batter even after cooling.

The dry mix noodle taste onion oil and was average. They accept cash and e-wallets for payments. There are indoor and outdoor seating.

🍜 Embrace the Hot & Spicy 🌶

I recently hosted a dinner with friends and ordered the ebi katsu combo set, which came with tamagoyaki, miso soup and steamed Japanese pearl rice. 

Before the meal was served, there was a special ritual involving 'surigoma', the grinding of sesame seeds. 

The aroma filled the air as I coarsely ground the sesame seeds in a small bowl. Mixing it with the sweet and sour sauce provided definitely flavour enhancer. 

The prawn tempura was disappointing due to its thick coating, but the other dishes were delightful, the place is warm though.

🥢 The Art of Surigoma - Sesame Grinding 🍤

I remember visiting this coffee shop as a child, and recently, I had the opportunity to revisit it with my family. 

It remains bustling with customers of all ages. Their signature dish, stir-fried salted veggies with yellow noodles, is still a crowd favourite and signature dish. 

What sets their noodles apart is their non-sticky texture, which I particularly enjoy. During my visit last weekend, I wanted to try their sweet and sour pork. 

To my delight, I was seated at the back of the kitchen, granting me a full view of their operations, including the preparation of their famous BBQ pork. 

The pork was sliced and deep-fried to a crisp perfection, while the vegetables retained their freshness without being overcooked. 

Although the dishes tended to be on the heavier and saltier side, they perfectly matched the local palate preferences. Service crews serve soup of the day. 

Overall, it was a satisfying and savoury dining experience with my families. Will I coming back? Absolutely.

🍜 SLURP-worthy noodle 🍛

Brown Cafe introduces their Raya Special: Cendol Bingsu, now gracing their menu throughout the month of Hari Raya. 

This delightful concoction caught my attention as a cendol enthusiast, making it an absolute must-try for me. 

The bingsu features finely shaved ice infused with the mild flavour of gula melaka, accompanied by a medley of toppings. 

It included corn, cendol, red bean, herbal jelly, and boba, all drizzled with brown sugar syrup and coconut milk. 

Despite the serving is slow, however the overall taste experience is truly pleasant and satisfying.

🍧 Hari Raya Cendol Gula Melaka Bingsu 💚

I recently swung by last weekend and noticed that they've introduced a new flavour of sofuto - matcha. 

The texture leans slightly towards sorbet with a subtle hint of bitterness rather than creamy-like, lovely and tasty. 

Additionally, they've added a new item to their menu: 6 roasted oysters with mozzarella cheese. 

Unfortunately, the oysters were disappointingly small, and heavily coated with cheese, making them overly salty.

🍦Matcha Sofuto & Cheesy Oysters 🦪

After my fantastic first dining experience with Mr Hubby, I was eager to return, and, this time with my family.

Despite we've WhatsApp to make reservation, however, the indoor seating was first-come, first-served. 

Fortunately, upon arrival, I found a long table inside was available and its near the kitchen entrance and counter. 

Although the place was air-conditioned but it's a bit warm, anyhow, it was definitely preferable than sitting outside.

The pork belly with rice (not in the picture) arrived was served satay-style instead of how it looked like in the menu. Taste okay.

The lamb had a good flavour from the marinade, although the meat was a bit resilient, similar to the beef burrito.

What really impressed me was the yoghurt coleslaw! It became my favourite dish. I would get that for my burger's side.

Despite its simplicity, the yoghurt's tanginess complemented the dish perfectly, and I couldn't stop eating it. 

Buttermilk chicken wing were chewy, it were undercooked and no taste of buttermilk. The loaded wedges were average.

🥩 Mother of All Pusas 🍚

I had no clue they offered more than just pork noodle, but we stumbled upon other delightful fried dishes. 

I opted for the Wat Tan Ho seafood, while Mr Hubby went for the dry mix flat rice noodle with pork tendon. 

Every bite was delicious, though I found the size of the seafood was a bit small for my liking. Mr Hubby's was okay as well.

Many coffee shops were closed during Hari Raya, so I decided to take Mr Hubby to this particular one. 

It's run by an elderly couple, offering generously sized, home-cooked meals at reasonable prices.

The atmosphere was warm, and with the weather being hot, we found ourselves sweating as we ate. 

Due to short staffing, there was a delay in washing dishes, cooking and serving our meals and drinks. 

However, the wontons stood out—they were freshly made and the filling, a mix of minced pork and carrot, was mouthfeel.

Despite the wait, the overall dining experience was decent. They accept cash only for payment. Ample parkings.
